We're almost at the end of the reviews row. But there's still information for you. This set is a mix of action, adventure, drama and comedy. Well, let's cut the intro short as it is the least interesting of all of this. The Death And Life Of Bobby Z (2007)
Here we have a comedy, one of the better ones. Not that it surprises a single bit. But as it has a way different approach to the comedy part. And you will laugh, it is hilarious. This one is a sure thing, and you can even invite a friend over to watch it with you. A go-see.The Forbidden Kingdom
Here's a Jet Li / Jackie Chan flic. And when you have two of the best martial art movie show-off's in the same movie then you're up for something spectular. And I must admit that as the first fight scene between Jet Li and Jackie Chan ran over the canvas, my smile got bigger and bigger - THEY SHOW OFF!. You are a witness to pretty much every major Kung Fu style available, from "Drunken", "Tiger", "Snake" etc. Wushu and the the works. If you like martial arts then watch this one for that fightscene alone. Anyway, storywise it is a little far fetched, although acceptable. It is a classic "Karate Kid" story with the noob who likes martial arts and becomes quite skilled in the end as he endures many things. Go watch it if you like martial arts, and aren't 100% into the wire-fighting and want to learn something about the Monkey King.
The Golden Compass
The adventure continues, away from Kung Fu/Wushu in "The Forbidden Kingdom" and on to an epic adventure (I bet you there will be a sequel) with heavy fantasy influence. This flic can be read as a book and the book is slightly better than the movie, although they share quite a bit. If you dig fantasy adventures with flying ships (Yeah!, you hard me), talking drunken polar bears and gifted children with magic artifacts then this one is a must. Basically the movie is a good one, although it stops quite sudden - and you are left with a Buuuuu feeling - like .... "Hey!, you cannot stop there....come on". A go see.The Happening
Now!, I have to restrain myself to avoid getting all jerked up over this much hyped movie. "The Happening" is made by the same guy who made "The Village" and "Lady in Water". M. Night Shyamalan also made "The Six Sense" which actually was a good movie. But this one....tsk tsk, noooooooo. The only interesting thing about this movie is the conceptual idea of nature striking back at humanity for the damage and pollution we've caused. But it stops at the concept. Bad acting, bad camera, bad directing, bad story. Bad, bad, BAD!. DO NOT WAISTE TIME ON THIS!.The Incredible Hulk
Here's the sequel to Hulk from 2003. Bruce Banner has fled away from the US, to avoid being subject to tests and being hunted down like an animal. Surely the US military wants Bruce Banner/Hulk's genes etc so that they can finish the creation of a super soldier. And Bruce is discovered and hunted, while refinding a lost love and a father with an attitude (not Bruce's though - as he was quite electrified in Hulk from 2003). This is a okay sequel. The main focus is still the persona struggle with Bruce vs Hulk and the loss Bruce has. Banner doesn't like being Hulk and it shows nicely in the movie. Hulk isn't an ass kicking ego tripper like Iron Man. He is the superhero he doesn't want to be. I'd advise you to watch it if you've seen Hulk from 2003 and have to find out what happends to Bruce, otherwise - let it go.

Vantage Point
WOW!, new approach - not seen since Pulp Fiction and Magnolia. This movie is a fresh breath over the movie genre. Surely it is an action movie told by a bunch of stories. Among others we get to meet Forest Whitaker (Bird, The Last King of Scotland, Street Kings), Dennis Quaid who was reviewed in Smart People earlier and William Hurt (A History of Violence etc). The story takes it's seeds in terror and assasination of the president of United States. Not that it is especially original at all. But the way the story is told is. That alone should urge you to go watch this movie.Wall-E
Here you find a Pixar product. And as Pixar can promise, good quality, refreshing story. Super footage and a sweet story. And Pixar keeps the promise as always. However it isn't eh best Pixar production. Finding Nemo looked better, Cars had a better story, Toy Story was more refreshing, The Incredibles was better and Monsters Inc was funnier. But, it is a Pixar production and if you've seen on of them - then you have to see all of them, no way around that. They've got the brand, and you have to obey. So, watch it if you're a Pixar fan.

Wanted
Rush!, don't wait. Just go see this action fast paced, angry pissed off movie, which sets aside as more powerful than pretty much anything I have seen for quite some time. Holy cow!, they kick ass - seriously. More spectacular than "Shoot'em Up", faster than "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift", heavier than "Runaway Train". Pretty much everything is great about the movie besides the little too much over the edge finish. Not that the finish trashes the move, noooo. It is a all through good movie
Did I mention that the movie features Morgan Freeman (GOD!), Angelina Jolie (GODDESS!) and James McAvoy (seen in "Atonement" and "The Last King of Scotland"). This is a must see for the action fanatic. Go see!
War Inc.
I beleive I had expected too much of this movie, or maybe I just didn't know it was a comedy and parody on commercial war. I think I expected something like "Lord of War" with Nicolas Cage, and instead I got John Cusack mixed with Chris Tuckers figure from "The Fifth Element" alias Ruby Rhod on dope like from "A Scanner Darkly". Anyway, the movie has it's light sides - especially when you think of what war eventually will become if the commercial side of all of this becomes much stronger. I can quite clearly imagine a stop to any war for 3 days so that CNN reporters and Coca Cola or whomever can put in commercials and sponsor both sides, until both sides can resume the war in favour of all the TV viewers. "Please stop, reporter and refreshments comming through" - LOL. But it is too low, and something which shouldn't be taken too light these days. See it if you think it may give you a kick, otherwise....please skip it.
We Own The Night
Crime and drugs, thriller and violence...and Eva Mendes. This is a good movie, which shows the downfall of a druglord who got a little to confident and loosened the control. I watched this close to watching Eastern Promises and American Gangster. And especially with American Gangster in the back head this movies goes well. It isn't a deep and violent and raw as the two others, but all-in-all a good movie above average. Go see this one. Did I mention that Joaquin Phoenix plays a brilliant role in this one...and Eva Mendes' body too?
What Happends in Vegas
We switch completely over to a Cameron Diaz/Ashton Kutcher comedy. A story with two drunks whom gets married by accident and wins alot of money. The funny side of the story comes from the fact thay they are sentenced to stay together for a while before they can split the money between them. He's a noob and she's a high class wannabe. They have nothing in commen, besides eachother. Let's cut the story short and say that the movie has a few light funny parts, but is basically a bad movie. Not worth watching. "Fools Gold" is better.
Witless Protection
Here's a dixie comedy with jugs by Jenny McCarthy and fun by Larry the Cable Guy. Now, you have to like comedy where a guy falling makes you laugh if you should enjoy this one. The only really funny scene in the movie is where they have Larry drop all his clothes for some examining. That one made me laugh, other than that. SKIP!You don't mess with the Zohan
Adam Sandler at his best. Funny with true emotions. I liked him best in Click, but this one isn't all that bad. And you have to enjoy some humus with this. This is a comedy, which seeds with an Isralic and Palistinian soldier. Sandler wants another life that his current one and decides to go to the US to become a hair dresser. Surely his story hunts him and he is forced to do something about it. This leads to unity between the two fractions, unity in US. This is a funny movie, watch it in the weekend and watch it with friends.
