Hellboy 2
Comicbook action hero again, This time the sequel to Hellboy, which actually turned out quite well. This sequel is much more thin and I fail to see where it is heading, other than trying to make some more $ on a success. As an action movie it is good, good effects, lot's of action and such. But that is about it. There is next to nothing in regard to suspence and you never doubt that Hellboy will win in the end. There is alot of CGI in this movie especially the mechanic war machine (The Golden Army). You can go see this one, especially if you liked Hellboy. Don't expect it to top Hellboy 1, but expect something slightly poorer. But all in all, a go see.
Iron Man
More comicbook heroes, this time it is Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr. whom has managed to make do a decent job. You get to like this movie slightly more when you've also watched Batman - The Dark Knight. I won't tell you why, you will have to figure that out yourself. But, back to the movie. I had a hard time accepting Iron Man and the power he posses. Although it is explained as a mini powerplant in his chest then it still has trouble being accepted in my brains. Nevertheless, that is a detail and if we put it aside then we have have a war monger who turns rougue and ends up on the good side. Surely he has moral issues which arrise as he is hit by his own weapons and it is these who makes him decide to become a good guy. All in all it is a average comicbook hero movie. Batman - The Dark Knight and The Incredible Hulk are both better movies, Hellboy 2 is about the same, so watch it if you are into comicbook heroes. Otherwise: skip.

Jumper
This is an interesting movie, the concept of "Jumping" is simply super. Although far fetched. I liked the movie right from the 1st time i saw the trailer and the movie itself didn't dissapoint me one bit. It is a good all though action movie with a new angel on syndication and exploitation of gifts and talent. I guess we all need there to be something more out there, that what meets the eye, eh? I will not explain what jumping is, but you may get an idea about it if you watch the YouTube trailer here. This movie is a GO SEE action movie with a fresh touch. The characters are played well, the action looks good, so does the CGI. There is a fast pace and the mandatory girl is also there. Everything an action adventure needs. I recommend it. GO SEE!

Juno
Here we have a drama about a young girl Juno, played by Ellen Page whom gets pregnant by accident - almost. The movie is all about the struggle and thoughts of growing up. Ellen Page does a good job and so does her male counter part Michael Cera. I won't say much about this movie as it is one you should enjoy yourself together with your girlfriend. It is a good one and a sure GO SEE.
Kung-Fu Panda
Nah, don't think so. Over budget animation movie with a commercialization beyond anything seen before. And it isn't even that good, or funny. Shreck is better, much better. Thumbs down from me. Do not spend time or money on this one.
Lions for Lambs
I didn't know what to expect from this movie, but what I got after watching it was a good feeling that somebody with the best of intentions sometime gets stepped on no matter what and luck just doesn't flow in their direction. The movie spores off in a warzone where an accident occurs, the story spinns off into 3 other stories and implicates alot of people, among othere a tv reporter and a congress man. It is a average movie. You won't miss it alot of you just lay it aside.
Meet Dave
Oh my, yet another Eddie Murphy try out. Eddie really needs to do something if he should get back on the horse. There is little to say about the movie. It is badly written, it has bad CGI, it has poor acting. The funniest part is where our main character chooses his name "Dave Ming Cheng". Skip this one for sure.
Meet The Spartans
This is one of those crazy movies which steals from every other movie and TV show. Sure this one originates in the movie 300 and has injections from "So you think you can Dance" and other issues as Britney Spears' downfall etc. If you dig movies like "Naked Gun", "Top Secret" and "Spy Hard" then this is something for you, otherwise simply skip it.

Memoirs of a Geisha (2005)
This is a romantic biography and a story about what happends to a single girl throughout her life. It is both a sad and a happy movie and you will sit tight thoughout the movie. This one is a GO SEE!, watch it with your girlfriend.
Mr. Untouchable
Mr. Untouchable and American Gangster has something in common, alot actually. This one is the documentary, whereas American Gangster with Denzel W. is the fiction, although quite close to the real deal. It is about drugs, drugwars, mafia and the life in New York in the 1970'ties. If you liked American Gangster then go see this one. If you care little about history then skip this one.
National Treasure - Book of Secrets
I have always felt that the National Treasure movies were a cheap Indiana Jones rip off. But they seem to get their own life now. This movie is above the others and the acting is good. The CGI is good too and the plot extends from the earlier movies. So new scenery, same idea. If you aren't influenced by the huge amount of botox Nicholas Cage has in his face then this is a good movie. About the same standard as the first National Treasure. So judge for yourself. Personally, I could life happy not seing it.
Never back down
Here is another MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) movie like Beyond the Ring is MMA. The two movies do not share anything besides the MMA fighting. This movie is about some teenagers who has a secret "fight club" going on while doing school. It is all about pride and some about rage and not fitting in. Our main character is a renegade in previous schools whom has been faced with the deal of not fighting any more or go to jail. Surely he gets tangled into the fight club and the movie starts off there. It is a slighly below average movie which you easily can do without. Skip it.
Nim's Island
This is a sweer family adventure with a twist of comedy. The funny part is mostly due to Jodie Fosters performance in the 1/3rd part of the movie and she has quite a bunch of fobia's to fight just to get around a daily life. Besides from a seal being able to fetch tools and think like a human then it is a good movie. Watch it with you family, they will almost all of them enjoy it.

No Country For Old Men
Moving away from family movies and into a crime thriller with a psychopath hitman. This is a good thriller with brilliant acting, good suspence, good climax and a twisted ending. This is a GO SEE.
Over Her Dead Body
Back into a romantic comedy, with emphasis on comedy. Here we find Eva Longoria as the "bad" dead girl and Lake Bell from (What happends in Vegas and Boston Legal). This is not one of these movies you will rememer and tell you friends to go watch, no the other hand it isn't bad at all. I'd say that it differs little wether you watch it or not. If you like Eva and Lake, then go. Otherwise stay at home.
Rambo IV
Rambo - now with T-shirt. A Rambo movie like the rest, less macho, but bigger guns. This is a stand UP and fight movie, no sneaking around with a knife stuff. Just BIG guns, loads of ammo, loads of bad guys, and shooting them down like it was an execution. I have seldom seen so many people die so fast with soo many bullets and such loud machine gun noice. H-O-L-Y C-O-W!. I guess you have to love Rambo to love this one. The nice thing is that John Rambo returns home and maybe gets united with his family (wtf, he has a family?).
